Feel God

Once unshackle the self
From the dark, dingy dungeon
You have engirdled around you
Webbing myriads of narrowness;
Break all those barricades of self aggrandize
You have erected so disdainfully
To protect your spiraling ego
And feel the pulse of world around –
The handiwork of God
How mesmerizing and enchanting;
Breathe once in the vast openness
Where infinite serenity pervades,
Touch the tenderness of a virgin dewdrop
That awaits the warmth of sun
Till it vanishes into air
Till it loses its identity for today
For tomorrow it has to condense again
When chilling breeze
Appeals her to form a new little delicate pearl
Even for some unnoticed moments
Even for some roving little eyes
That squander around in morning calmness
To find those glittering gems
Upon velvet sepals of stunning flowers
Upon slippery verdant leaves
To touch them blissfully
To feel them gleefully
To engage them in the eternal drama.

Recession

World economy melted down
Aftermath the sub-prime crisis
When America was flaunting
Her big capitalism slice
What's the genesis
Is still a hocus-pocus
How the largest economy
Bled is a major global focus

When the big boys of industry
Were basking in scotch and wine
A sudden twister broke
In the heart of financial line
Many thought it a transit phase
As bear runs in stock market
The game of hide and seek
Turned ugly at Wall Street.

Property prices crashed
Realtors dipped in red
The defaulters shown the door
When bankers turned their head
The losses got nationalized
The profits made private
As Federal intervened
And pumped in billions in haste.

The honchos got their big pie
And fled to Las Vegas
To enjoy a hot bed
With wine and fashion divas
Many turned blue
As pink slips kissed their fate
A few cowards even choose
To kill self and family for heavy debt.
